Pre/Post Natal Chiropractic
Our office also specializes in prenatal care and Webster Technique. It is important to understand that the spine and nervous system coordinate and control all functions during pregnancy and delivery. Thus, any interference within the spine can increase the expecting mother’s pain during pregnancy or potentially alter the position of the baby (transverse or breech positioning). By addressing spinal misalignments, supporting ligament structures, and surrounding musculature, chiropractors help mothers improve the quality of their pregnancy and support proper neurological function of the expecting mother and developing baby. Our office utilizes special tables and support pillows that are designed to accommodate the pregnant woman’s belly. Many local OB’s refer to our office due to our ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) training and Webster Certification in addition to the positive outcomes many of their patients have had with us.

We often refer to the months following the birth process as the fourth trimester. During this time, mothers are navigating new sleep schedules, breastfeeding, and increased lifting and postural changes from holding the newborn. This may result in increased headaches, tension, stress, postpartum depression, and breastfeeding complications (latch issues, milk production, etc.) Chiropractic care during this time can ease in the recovery process after birth.
